in the production of ammonia, N2 + 3H2 --> 2NH3, if you start with 3 mol of N2 and 6 mol of H2, identify the limiting reagent and the excess reagent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

limiting reagent is H2 cause you need 1 mol of N2 and 3 mol of H2 for 2 mol NH3 so if you have 3 mol of N2 you should have 9 mol of H2....

do you understand what i said?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mostly, I'm still not clear what the limiting reagent and the excess reagent are though...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

limiting reagent is the one of the reagents who is first depleated as reaction progresses, so excess reagent is the one which leaves behind after limiting reagent is depleated

@Kryten plz hlp me out

Are you ok with "limiting reagent and the excess reagent" now, or do you need further help?
