-1/2 x + 3 = −x + 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For a start you should put all the variables x on one side of the equation and all the constant numbers on the other. Would you some like help doing it, or would you like the fun of solving that part yourself?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So let's say you want to bring all the x variables on the left hand side of the equation. That means the -x on the right needs to go to the left. You do that by adding +x to both sides of the equation. So the -x + x on the right hand side = 0. And on the right hand side -1/2 x + x = positive 1/2 x. The equation now looks like 1/2 x + 3 = 7. Is that clear?

answer???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer doesn't mean anything unless you know how to find it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k thanks

You can move the constant the same way I moved the variable...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You want to move the 3 on the left hand side over to the right hand side.
