anyone got this plz reply fast...

OpenStudy (ujjwal):

let the element be x with valencies y and z so, the compounds are: \[X _{2}O _{y} and X _{2}O _{z}\] the weight of oxygen in X2Oy is y times weight of oxygen i.e. YO and in X2OZ it's Z times O i.e. ZO Now, the ratio YO:ZO =21.24:34.78 which gives Y:Z =3:5 approx
