who nos the whole b flat major scale??

So once you know one major scale, you kinda know them all. I will show you how to figure it out. Let's start simple... can you name *all* the notes, starting from A to G#?

It would be this: A A# / Bb (same note) B C C# / Db D D# / Eb E F F# / Gb G G# / Ab A (back to A, again) are you familiar with that?

don't forget the sharps/flats in between! there is one between every note, except B/C and E/F.

Now a major scale has "predefined intervals", meaning we know the distance between each note in the scale. The template for a major scale is this: the notes (starting at 0): 0 2 4 5 7 9 11 12 the distance between each note: 2 2 1 2 2 2 1 Now bear with me for a sec while I show you what these mean:

Starting at Bb and ending at Bb, we can lay out all the notes (I've numbered them for convenience) 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 Bb B C Db D Eb E F Gb G Ab A Bb

And we know the template for a major scale is: > the notes (starting at 0): 0 2 4 5 7 9 11 12 So if we choose those notes from the above, we end up with the Bb major scale Bb C D Eb F G A Bb Voila!
