Simplify : e^(2lnx)+3e^ln(2x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[aln(b)=\ln(b^a)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[e^{\ln(x)}=x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with these two properties, do you know your first step?

OpenStudy (s):

i just remember that e^2lnx gives e^lnx^2 which is x^2 but I am confused what do i do with 3e^ln(2x)

OpenStudy (s):

would it be 3(2x) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you're not sure you could always pull the 3 out in front

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but what you did is correct

OpenStudy (s):

so the answer will be x^2* 3(2x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it'd be plus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not *

OpenStudy (s):

oh, yes

OpenStudy (s):

Thank you !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you need to simplify more just pull out an x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor out an x i mean to get x(x+6)

OpenStudy (s):

thank =)
