Can induction be used in a proof? I'm mid-proof and need to prove that m <= 3^(m/3) for all non-negative integers m. I'm currently at m-1 <= 3^(m-1/3), using Well-Ordering. If I calculate through m = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 - can I make an argument through cases that (1) if m = 1, using the values of 0 and 1. (2) otherwise using induction to show that as m increases by 1, the right hand of the equation increases by more than 1?
