What is the factored form of the equation? Factor completely 24q^7 – 42q^4r + 36q^3r^2 – 63r^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24q^7 – 42q^4r + 36q^3r^2 – 63r^3 taking 6q^4 from (24q^7 – 42q^4r) = 6q^4(4q^3-7r) Similarly taking 9q^2 common from ( 36q^3r^2 – 63r^3) gives you : 9q^2(4q^3-7r) Adding both : we get : 6q^4(4q^3-7r) + 9q^2(4q^3-7r) therefore taking (4q^3-7r) as commong you get two factors : (4q^3-7r)(6q^4+9q^2)
