im so confused, i really need help on this question. does anyone possibly have the answer? During the production of gametes, homologous chromosomes have separated, and the cell is splitting into two daughter cells containing non-identical chromosomes, each consisting of two chromatids. Which of the following is the best conclusion you can make about the life cycle of this cell?
I think the question is trying to get you to understand the difference between mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis leads to two daughter cells with identical pairs of chromosomes, whereas meiosis leads to two daughter cells with non-identical chromosomes, each consisiting of two chromatids. Meiosis leads to the production of gametes (eggs or sperm) exclusively. You can say that the cells will be gametes and might come together in a zygote if fertilization takes place. You can say they are gametes for sure though. I hope this helps you out, if not post again and I'll see if I can explain better
