Use a graphing utility to approximate (to two-decimal-place accuracy) any relative minimum or maximum values of the function.
@FoolForMath
can you show me how
you nee to graph the function first
do you have a graphing calculator? what kind so I can tell you what buttons to push?
heres the one I'm using! http://my.hrw.com/math06_07/nsmedia/tools/Graph_Calculator/graphCalc.html
@precal
@Hero
I prefer wolframalpha
gross, do you had a hand held calculator? I have a TI-84 plus Yes, I prefer wolf
no i don't have a handheld one, what is wolframalpha ?
Beat me to it
lol
just the coolest site ever, I will let Hero show you
coolest site next to this one
No, I'm busy at the moment
All you precal
lol
lol @precal
ok I will post it, give me a moment
thank you
I am still learning how to use wolf, when I don't know how to input something in- I just asked at openstudy
wow thats so cool! thats the graph?
yes
how would i input this? @precal
Whatever it is you want to "input" you can just type it, and wolframalpha will giving you the proper ways to input it along with any related entries. For example, if you wanted to know how to input a matrix, just simply type "matrix" in the input box, and you will receive the proper entries for it. Type "solve" and you will get the proper ways of inputting equations to solve for variables, etc.
you just need to find your solutions, factor it and solve I just write graph and then I type the function wolf is very forgiving
thanks guys! ill try it out
anytime :)
