Which one of the numbers does not belong in the following series? 1 - 2 - 5 - 10 - 13 - 26 - 29 - 48

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

since they're all "all" then true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what kindof math question is this?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

some people use these questions for references so please revert it to the original question then ask a new one

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

It's 13.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

*facepalm* @apoorvk

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

The nos. increase by 1, 3, 5, and so on successively - but that '13' is playing the Mr. Bad Guy in here it seems :P

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

WAIT - what the heck are 29 and 38 doing? Am wrong that means. :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that says 48

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not 38

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Yeah '48' sorry - typo.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i just told the asker to repost the question and you keep discussing it =_=

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

let him repost it first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aight

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Only if the last two are '37' and '50' actually. - seems not.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

seriously @apoorvk =_=

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Yes, seriously lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but 26 is the answer... but @itsksk u should really repost your original question and ask this in another question thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1times 2=2, then add 3, 5 times 2=10, then add 3, 13 times 2=26, then add 3, 29 times 2 should equal 58 and not 48. Therefore 48 is the number that does not belong.
