differentiate using product rule x^2(3x-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you really have to use the product rule? why can't u just distribute and get the derivative using the power rule?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yh but thats the Q so i have to use it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x(3x-4) + x^2(3) do u get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thnk so wll the ans be 6x^2-8x + x^6 ? am i right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x^2-8x+3x^2 =9x^2 - 8x yeah that will b it u can verify by distributing the expression and then differentiate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u show me how to that pls?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well x^2(3x-4) =3x^3 - 4x^2 then u can diffeentiate and get 9x^2 - 8x
