Biologists now know that viruses -all form the same crystalline shape. -are the smallest organisms. -contain RNA or DNA in a protein coat. -consist of a protein surrounded by a nucleic acid coat.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Viruses have different shapes and sizes and are weird because they're not exactly living things, but they hijack living things to reproduce. It's kind of cool when you think about it. They reproduce by injecting their DNA or RNA into a host cell. From there the virus's DNA or RNA can become a part of the organism and lie dormant until it wants to come out or can immediately build new protein coats and use the cell's proteins to make more DNA and RNA to kill the cell and spread. When viruses go dormant and don't come out, it's used for showing how we're related to other organisms through evolution, which is pretty cool! Keep in mind that a virus is a protein coat filled with DNA or RNA, and that DNA and RNA are the code for making new viruses and their protective proteins.

so is it c?

OpenStudy (kainui):
