Help me please! Which statement about a kite and trapezoid is true?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both are parallelograms because their opposite sides are congruent. A trapezoid is different from a kite because it does not have two pairs of non-parallel opposite sides. A trapezoid is similar to a kite because both have diagonals that bisect each other at 90°. Both are parallelograms because they have four sides and their diagonals are equal in length.

I think it's A am i right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no not A nvm

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

ops i drew a kite and a parallelogram |dw:1338647725529:dw| this is a trapezium

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried to look them both up and i still can't find the answer....

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

consider the first statement \[\text{Both are parallelograms because their opposite sides are congruent.}\] do both/either a kite and/or a trapezium have the features of a parallelogram ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no doesn't look like it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

only the second shape

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

right so the neither a kite nor a trapezium are parallelograms

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

consider the second statement A trapezoid is different from a kite because it does not have two pairs of non-parallel opposite sides. is the true/false

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it's B?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

what a confusing sentence that second one is. i can not seam to remember what is in the beginning and end of that sentence at the same time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh? xD

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the third sentence A trapezoid is similar to a kite because both have diagonals that bisect each other at 90°. is not true because neither the kite or the trapezium have diagonals do not bisect at 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and i have one more question does a square diagonals bisect at 90 degree?
