I chose Friar Lawrence so how to do I explain this? Here's my jumble of a paragraph I have so far... The person responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet is Friar Lawrence because he gave them a faulty and fatal plan. Friar Lawrence is a key person in the story of Romeo and Juliet. He was a key person because he wanted to resolve a problem between two feuding families. His plan, although faulty, was to marry two people from the two different families and create a new chapter with the families in harmony. Although Friar Friar Lawrence was supposed to be a mature male adult that was also, in fact, a friar. A friar is a monk. He is someone who is a part of the religious community. Since Friar Lawrence was a monk he was expected to give good advice. Unfortunately, in this situation he gave the exact opposite of what was expected of him. Even though he was a monk, the advice that he gave to Romeo and Juliet was not of God. Friar Lawrence started Romeo and Juliet’s relationship on deception and lies. First, he encouraged them to deceive their parents by getting married in secret. He entertained the secrecy in their relationship and did not advise them to explain their relationship to their parents. Friar Lawrence had just nursed a relationship into one of lies, deceit, and dishonesty. The relationship is one of the reasons for the fall of Romeo and Juliet, but the flaw-ridden plan is the main cause for the demise of the two lovers. Friar Lawrence created a plan that was based on a lot of ifs. These ifs weren’t very sturdy either. The foremost if was “If the friar that Friar Lawrence sent to inform Romeo of Juliet and Friar Lawrence’s plan did not make it in time what would happen?” Romeo would not have known of the plan and might’ve taken drastic measures. Since this was overlooked by Friar Lawrence and Juliet, that ‘if’ occurred and Romeo did take drastic measures. His plan was so volatile that it brought the death of three people all in the same room.

OK, It's been a while since I've read this play, I don't want to comment on the content. However, I can give you some writing advice. Here is an outline for you to follow. The first thing you need to do is come up with 4 specific examples from the text. Write them down on separate pieces of paper, to keep your thoughts separated. Then, write at least 3 supporting sentences for each example. You will have 6 paragraphs, total. Paragraph 1 ~ Introduction. Your thesis should be here. Your 4 examples should be mentioned here, so your readers know what your paper is going to cover. And give a little background about Friar Lawrence. Not too detailed. Just cover the basics. Paragraph 2 ~ Discuss example one. Paragraph 3 ~ Discuss example two. Paragraph 4 ~ Discuss example three. Paragraph 5 ~ Discuss example four. Paragraph 6 ~ Conclusion. Restate your thesis, and mention, again, your four examples. Basically summarize your paper. Make sure you don't add any new information here. *** In paragraphs 2 through 5, make sure you only discuss one topic per paragraph. If you hop back and forth between topics, it will confuse your readers.
