OpenStudy (anonymous):

Factor the following expression to show the difference of two squares: 4x^2-16 I keep getting 4(x-2)+(x+2); what am I doing wrong?

Parth (parthkohli):

\( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow 4x^2 = (2x)^2 }\) Does that help?

Parth (parthkohli):

You are correct, but you have put a '+' sign between (x - 2) and (x + 2).... :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is (4x+4)(x-4) the same?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or (2x+4)(2x-4)??

Parth (parthkohli):

No no no

Parth (parthkohli):

Yes, it's 2(x + 2)(x - 2)
