sin(2a)=2sin^2 a-1 for all values of a true or false

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its Cos(2a), yeah its true for all... and the formula is - Cos(2a)=2Cos^2(a)-1=1-2Sin^2(a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kr7210 It says sin(2a) not cos(2a)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sin(2a) = 2Sin(a)Cos(a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but you can't change that into 2Cos^2(a)-1 because none of the terms are squared.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

didn't get u, i juss wrote a right formula.. search on google buddy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and please let me know if i did wrong @Calcmathlete ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. The second time you did it right. It's just that the answer to the original question is false. :)
