“We were even introduced to Luca Pantoni, a very powerful man at Ferrari Headquarters in Maranello, Italy, who was in Seattle visiting Don Kitch Jr. Seattle’s premier racing tutor.” is this an example of allusion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how were you thinking it might be an allusion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because it stating a famous man from a racing car headquarters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

usually an allusion adds to the depth of the writing, likes takes it to another level, and doesn't really explain the full meaning of the allusion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so this statement would be considered as allusion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

....do you think the namedropping adds to the the depth of the sentence?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well then, is it an allusion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it isnt.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you. can i ask you one more question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Slow hands in the fast stuff, fast hands in the slow stuff.” is this syntax by any chance or any literary term?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it looks like an inversion, or chiasmus, which is when the structure of one clause is the exact 'reflection" of a preceding clause (one that came before it) not "syntax" because that's a very alrge term that doesn't refer specifically to one example of writing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you so much.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course :)
