By Side By Angle 1 and 3 are isosceles triangles because each has all three sides that are of different lengths. 2 and 4 are acute triangles because each has one angle that measures greater than 90˚ All are scalene triangles because each has at least two sides that are of different lengths. All are acute triangles because each has at least two angles that measure less than 90˚. By Side By Angle 2 and 4 are isosceles triangles because each has two sides of the same length. 1 and 3 are obtuse triangles because each has an angle that measures 90˚. this question confuses me!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which option shows the triangles correctly classified by their sides and by their angle measures?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

this may help triangle 1 scalene right angled triangle 2 obtuse isosceles triangle 3 scalene right angled triangle 4 obtuse isosceles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.... im SO lost lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you sure that the last choice is: 2 and 4 are isosceles triangles because each has two sides of the same length. 1 and 3 are obtuse triangles because each has an angle that measures 90˚.? Or is it: 2 and 4 are isosceles triangles because each has two sides of the same length. 1 and 3 are right triangles because each has an angle that measures 90˚.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is one more i couldnt fit in and its this one By Side By Angle 1 and 3 are scalene triangles because each has all three sides of different lengths. 2 and 4 are obtuse triangles because each has one angle that measures greater than 90˚

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The fourth one is correct because it matches the descriptions that @campbell_st said. "triangle 1 scalene right angled triangle 2 obtuse isosceles triangle 3 scalene right angled triangle 4 obtuse isosceles"

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the only side by angle description n that fits is the 2nd last.. about isosceles triangles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhhh which one is it lol

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the one that says triangles 2 and 4 are isosceles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ummm... @campbell_st the second to last one says: 1 and 3 are obtuse triangles because each has an angle that measures 90˚. That is not the definition of an obtuse triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its the fourth one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe so...the one that you left out of the original question.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

that would be my choice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol yeah it all would not fit in XD
