Which sentence contains a dependent clause and a superlative adverb?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. If you want me to be honest, I would say Jon tries the least. B. If you want me to be honest, I would say Jon tries less than others. C. If you want me to be honest. I would say Jon tries the least

I believe its A lol .. Hope that helps =]

Yep, "A" it most definitely is!! "If...honest" is the dependent clause, and "least" is the superlative adverb which modies the verb "tries". Superlative adverbs are used to compare more than two things. "Least" is the superlative form of of the adverb "little"; "less", used to compare two things, is the comparative form of "little".

A, it is.
