The exact value of sec -pi is... I know that the answer is (-1) but I don't understand how there is a negative. I mean, I had assumed it to be negative since we're finding sec -pi, but when I entered cos(-pi) into the caluclator (cos because it's the inverse for sec), it was positive 0.998... So I figured the answer to be positive. I then divded 1 by my answer (sec = 1/cos theta) and got positive one. How is it that this answer remains negative?
