Simplify. (picture in the discussion posts below) Before I had put sin^2 theta (tan2 theta) = 1 and I was marked inccorect. Can someone walk me through this problem, please? Any help is appreciated.

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

better change it to cos/sin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, would sin^2 theta cancle out the sin in cos/sin?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Especially since cos/sin would be squared

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

\[sin^2\theta(1+\frac{cos^2\theta}{sin^2\theta})\] It wnt get cancelled here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, what would I do next than? I'm terrible at simplifying these :p

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

|dw:1340265526409:dw| use this \[cos^2\theta+sin^2\theta=1\] hope u can carry on after this.
