Simplify: (5x2 + 3x + 4) + (2x2 − 6x + 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(5x^2 + 3x + 4) + (2x^2 − 6x + 3)=(5x^2+2x^2)+(3x-6x)+(4+3) \\ =7x^2-3x+7 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The parentheses are useless here. Just remove them an combine like terms once again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ..so this one is worked out the same way as the other one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically yeah. \[5x^{2} + 3x + 4 +2x^{2} - 6x + 3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then my answer iiiiis 7x^2-3+7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup :)
