how does a white blood cells structure help it perform its function? how does a white blood cells structure help it perform its function? @Biology
I found this on an old openstudy question: "The flexibility of the plasma membrane allows bacteriophagia and increases mobility in pursuit of invaders. Beta cells put out chemical antigens to eliminate invaders chemically. Various white cells display proteins on their plasma surfaces to communicate the composition of the pathogen. White cells (unlike red blood cells) have a nucleus, which allows the synthesis of new chemicals in response to various invaders." The most basic one is that the point of white blood cells is to kind of absorb harmful bacteria and things, and its structure makes it really easy to kind of swallow things
their's structure allow them to move that called "amoeboid", passing through the membrane of blood vessels thus they can reach the infection sites quicker.
