Write the equation of the line that has a slope of -2 and a y-intercept of -6. Write the equation of the line that passes through the point (6, -2) and has a slope of -2/3.
actually.. not sure how to do this period..
Remember that for a linear equation y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. You can also make a graph, starting with the y-intercept. Then you can choose some points on the line and build a table of values, and that should give you something to build the equation off of.
I don't understand how to set this up..
Do you know what the terms "slope" and "y-intercept" mean? If so, you can start by drawing a graph and marking where the y-intercept is, then making a line based on the slope.
Oh! duh! haha sorry too early for this.
