How do i do this? What is the equation of the line through the point (-2, 3) with m = 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the equation of a line in the slope-intercept form goes like this: \[y=mx+b\] m being the slope and b the y-intercept(the value of y when x=0) if the slope is 0, the you have: \[y=(0)x+b\] then replace the values for y and x that you have for that point \[3=(0)(-2)+b\] \[3=b\] now you can write the equation: \[y=mx+3\] because the slope is 0, this is a horizontal line \[y=3\] a horizontal line has the same y value for all x's
