How do you the interval notation, (-∞, 6]? Is it "from negative infinity to 6" or "from 6 to negative infinity"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from negative infinity to 6, i believe. means from anything smaller than -6 to -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"from minus infinity to 6" is one way

hero (hero):

Don't you have to also mention that the 6 is included and the -infinity is not included?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or "from negative infinity to six" or " all numbers less than or equal to six"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, 6 is inclusive :))

hero (hero):

I think "all real numbers less than or equal to six" might be the best way to say it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ops misread 6 with -6. sorry
