Choose the kind(s) of symmetry: point, line, plane, or none. for each of these letters. https://media.glynlyon.com/a_matgeo_2011/8/q4015a.gif https://media.glynlyon.com/a_matgeo_2011/8/q4016a.gif https://media.glynlyon.com/a_matgeo_2011/8/q4017a.gif https://media.glynlyon.com/a_matgeo_2011/8/q4018a.gif https://media.glynlyon.com/a_matgeo_2011/8/q4019a.gif https://media.glynlyon.com/a_matgeo_2011/8/q4020a.gif
@jim_thompson5910 can you help?
any idea on any these?
on "A" i think its line and plane
line symmetry for "A" is correct, but how did you get plane symmetry?
it was an educated guess
so its just line for a?
Plane symmetry is symmetry that's with respect to the plane (so think of the entire plane as a mirror). So imagine you're standing above a flat lake and you stare down to see your reflection. This would be example of plane symmetry.
So basically plane symmetry applies to 3-dimensional settings
so yes, it's just line symmetry for "A"
oh ok.. same for b?
Yes, you can draw a horizontal line through the middle of B and it will look like the top half reflects over that line to form the bottom half
is it point too?
Can you rotate "B" 180 degrees about any point on "B" and it matches up perfectly?
