MATH HELP? please :( Solve the following system of equations. x - 2y = 5 2x - 4y = 10 Infinitely Many Solutions No Solutions (0, 0) (5, 10)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you think? try graphing both equations... what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When i did it, I got (0,0). But i have a feeling that my answer is not right...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@dpaInc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get (0, 0)? when you did it, what was that last statement in your calculations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It just what I got when I tried to do it, But I think i'm doing something wrong. I don't get what you're asking...... i guess ill just ask my teacher about it. I'm too confused @dpaInc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no... i think i know what's going on but i'm not too sure.... exactly what was the last line when you did this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i think you're prolly doing it right but you don't know how to interpret what you have...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you use elimination to solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I used the graphing method...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what happened when you graphed both of these lines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait, i just tried it again with the elimination method and got No solutions. I think that's right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what did you do in elimination? what variable did you eliminate?
