Does every point on a graph have to be exactly on a line in order to indicate a linear relationship between variables in a scientific inquiry? A- No, they can be anywhere. B- No, they can be anywhere. C- Yes. D- No, only causes and effects have a linear relationship

OpenStudy (phi):

A and B are the same?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops I means to say that B- No, but they should be close.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a scientific inquiry? No. Because of error in data collection, the data will usually not be perfect, and so there will almost never be a perfect line that the data points fall on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I also know its not A.
