help please.....A landscape architect recommends 0.1 gallon of water per day for each square foot of lawn. How many gallons of water should be used per day on a rectangular lawn area that is 33 ft by 42 ft?

get the area multiplied the given values: 33x42 = "Total Area" devide the "Total Area" by the amount of gallons of water per day for each square foot: ("Total Area")/0.1 = ( your answer )

You wouldn't divide it, you'd multiply.
