integration of sqrt(tanx)
@experimentX
this seems very complicated http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=integrate+sqrt%28tan+x%29 let me see if i can find another method.
I think Wolfram's method is not bad. I would be interested in an easier method.
reduces to \[ 2 \int {s^2 \over s^4 + 1}ds \] Not sure if we can do in simple way from this http://www4a.wolframalpha.com/Calculate/MSP/MSP74701a27h07925gd94bd00001214bgh8e992f633?MSPStoreType=image/gif&s=22&w=489&h=2660
is there a easier method?
@.Sam.
I know this much from my formula book that \[\int\limits_{}^{} \tan x \space \space dx=-\ln |\cos x|\]
I'm not sure about this. But put tan x = t^2.
I vaguely remember this. Sorry if I'm completely wrong..:P
@experimentX @Zarkon can't we find integration of sqrt(tanx) by the help of the formula i gave?
is this right??? \[\int\limits_{}^{} \sqrt{t ^{2}}/(1+t ^{4})dt=\int\limits_{}^{}dz/(1+z ^{2})=1\tan^{-1}(z)=\tan^{-1} (t ^{2}) \]
sorry it will be \[\int\limits_{}^{}2t ^{2}dt/(1+t ^{4})\]
This is much more good ithink http://www.goiit.com/posts/list/differential-calculus-integrate-sqrt-tan-x-1106228.htm;jsessionid=305C258299FC6D137E0C6B9077041EA1.node2#1493671
nice search
A big thanks to all guys who helped me out. Got it at last!!. Over and out!!
