A movie stunt driver on a motorcycle speeds horizontally off a 50.0-m-high cliff. How fast must the motorcycle leave the cliff top to land on level ground below, 90.0 m from the base of the cliff where the cameras are? Ignore air resistance. can anyone help me?

First, find the time it takes for him to hit the ground. Because there is no initial velocity in the y direction, it is free fall downward. Use: x2 = x1 + v1t + (1/2)at^2 with x2 = 0 and v1 = 0 to find the time. Use the same equation to find the initial velocity in the x direction, using the time you just calculated. In the x direction, the velocity is constant, there's no acceleration, so a = 0.
