The sides where you have \[x^{2}\] simplify them alone, and the sides where you have \[y^{2}\] simplify them alone too.
ive obviously tried to simplyfy it i dont have the process down, its confusing when i break down the one with 80 ect.
i cant get it out of the radical right
do you multiply what your taking out of the radical to whats allready on the outside or add it ?
\[\sqrt{80x y^{2}} = \sqrt{80x} * \sqrt{y^{2}} = y \sqrt{80x}\]
I used this property of square roots : \[\sqrt{a} * \sqrt{b} = \sqrt{a*b}\]
so if i had 2 radical 12 what wuld that simplify to
\[2\sqrt{12} = 2\sqrt{4*3} = 2*\sqrt{4}*\sqrt{3} = 2 * \sqrt{2^{2}} * \sqrt{3} = 4\sqrt{3}\] Hope that help you.
ahhh now i get it
what if its somthing like radical27
Glad to hear this.
bc thats a cube
\[\sqrt{27} = \sqrt{3^{3}} = \sqrt{3*3^{2}} = \sqrt{3}\sqrt{3^{2}} = 3\sqrt{3}\] Hope this help you.
