OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are the gases with minimum ionization energy?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those gasses from which we can easily remove a electron frm its outter orbit hence those which have a large number of orbitals in them eg: na,mg,al

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kinetic energy of gases

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Xe and kr

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ifly!!! na mg are metals not gases

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@heena Xe is inert gas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its oxygen nitrogen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it cant be nitrogen cause it has a triple bond in it. so yes yr half right its o2 cause thats the only gas whose last shell is the furthest from its nucleus so it will easily lose its electron.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sry ,y bad i read the qn wrong mitakenly i thought they are asking whch gas will have highest IE anf if they are asking abu low IE then an will be oxygen
