First, your slope will be the reciprocal of the equation you have. So i'll take your equation that's in standard from and turn it into slope-intercept... So y=-3x+7 is the one you have now. The new equation will have the reciprocal; 1/3. Then you plug-in the coordinate (6,-1). So the equation that you are looking for should be y=1/3x-3. Or in standard form; -1/3x+y=-3!! :D
