Is the right step to solve after changing sin2A=1/2 to change it to 2sinAcosA=1/2?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

nope. there wont be much point to that. you need to take the arcsin of both sides

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! Hold on, let me solve it to see if I got the right answer.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

sure :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Once I get to sin2A=30 do I just divide by 2 so sinA=15?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

dont you mean 2A = 30?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

if you take the arcsin of sin 2A the result is 2A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yes, i forgot to apply to inverse to the sin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so A=15

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

welcome ^_^
