Q ; below

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. y = -3x + 4 B. y = 3x – 4 C. y = 1 3 x – 4 D. y = - 1 3 x – 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Two points I can identify are: \[(0, -4) \; and \; (6, -2)\] Find slope here..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[Slope = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i find a slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have written the formula above..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0-4 _____ 6-2 ??????????/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[Slope = \frac{-2 -(-4)}{6 - 0} \implies Slope = \frac{2}{6} \implies \frac{1}{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the slope and one y intercept is -4 So: \[y = mx + c\] \[m = \frac{1}{3}\] \[c = -4\] Just plug in the values and find the equation..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = mx + c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

replace m by 1/3 and c by -4..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=1 - x -4? 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NO.. Can't you look at right option ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WHATS THAT?? BUT I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE ANSWER AND I GOT IT WRONGG...SORRY FOR THE CAPS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just saw a person who got the answer but he is unable to locate it in the choices given.. Great buddy..
