when you multiply radicals, you copy the radical and then multiply the radicands underneath it. i.e \[\sqrt 2 \times \sqrt 3 = \sqrt{2 \times 3}\] when you multiply integers, you just multiply them like you used to in kindergarten \[1 \times 1 = 1\] does that help?
