add & simplify 2x+6/(x+3)^2 + x/x+3. a: 3x+6/(x+3)^2 b: x+2/x+3 c: x+2/(x+3)^2 d: 2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply 2x+6 with x+3 which yields 2x^2+12x+18 \[(x+3)^2 = x^2+6x+9\] multiply x with second equation will give you \[x^3+6x^2+9x\] add 2x^2+12x+18 and \[x^3+6x^2+9x\] this gives you numerator keep \[x^3+6x^2+9x\] and x+3 as it is in the denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplify the numerator and a term will cancel out with denominator
