What are the zeros of the polynomial function: f(x) = x3 – 5x2 + 6x ? 0, –3, 2 0, 3, –2 0, –3, –2 0, 3, 2

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

first factor out x\[\implies x(x^2 -5x + 6)\] now factor out the trinomial \[\implies x(x-3)(x-2)\] do you know how to get the roots now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but i don't know which answer i got is correct?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

which answer did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the four listed underneath the question i asked

hero (hero):

@lggy, you forgot to set f(x) = 0 first.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i meant which one of it

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yeah @Hero seems i did...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.)0, –3, 2 B.)0, 3, –2 C.)0, –3, –2 D.)0, 3, 2

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i said which one is YOUR answer...not repeat the choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all of them, i just dont know which one

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

right... so you know it's either A, B, C or D right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't tell if you're trolling or being serious...

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

anyway... if you have something like \[x(x+2)(x-5)(x+4)\] then the roots will be 0, -2, 5, -5 so what do you think will be the roots of \[x(x-3)(x-2)\]

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

typo...that should be "then the roots will be 0,-2,5,-4
