@jim_thompson5910
Remember that the square root cuts the exponent in half
So \[\Large \sqrt{p^6} = p^3\]
and \[\Large \sqrt{p^2} = p^1 = p\]

Also \[\Large \sqrt{9p^6} = \sqrt{9}\sqrt{p^6}\] \[\Large \sqrt{9p^6} = 3p^3\]
So overall... \[\Large \sqrt{p^6}+\sqrt{9p^6} + 3\sqrt{p^6} - \sqrt{p^2}\] \[\Large p^3 + 3p^3 + 3p^3 - p\] \[\Large 7p^3 - p\] ------------------------ This means \[\Large \sqrt{p^6}+\sqrt{9p^6} + 3\sqrt{p^6} - \sqrt{p^2}\] simplifies to \[\Large 7p^3 - p\]
it's a lot, but hopefully it makes sense
Yeah I know
