9p^2-45=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but what about the x^2? @swin2013

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9 ( p^2 - 5) = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

p^2 - 5 = 1/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

p^2 = 16/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

square root p^2 to get p = ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so im a little confused how did u go from 9(p^2-5)=3 to p^2-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

took out 9 to get x^2 - 5, then divided by 9 to get rid of it. if you divided it, it will be the same as 1(p^2 - 5) which is still p^2 - 5
