Factor completely -x^4-5x^2-6 I got -1(x^2+6)(x+1)(x-1) Is that correct

hmm, no, that won't work.
Try this: Factor out the -1 to make it look like -(x^4+5x^2+6), then recognizing the quadratic form, we can substitute u=x^2 and it becomes -(u^2+5u+6). See what you get out of that.
We have not covered quadratic formula yet. Is that the only way to factor this one?

Not quadratic formula, quadratic form. i.e. it looks like a quadratic. You can factor it as normal.
