I re wrote the question lol hopefully its more understanable $120,000 was paid to 16 of Washburn’s salespeople in override commissions. (a) What was the average amount paid to each salesperson? (b) What amount of the average sales commission will go toward the salesperson’s Social Security Tax? (c) What amount will go toward Medicare? (Assume social security tax is 6.20% on $106,800 and medicare tax is 1.45%)

120.000 divided by 16 = 7.5 paid to each salesperson in commissions. :)

ok thank you so then how do ifgure out the rest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a) the average amount paid to each salesperson = $120,000/16 = $7500; (b) Social Security Tax = 4.2% * 7500 = $315; (c) Medicare = 1.45% * 7500 = $108.75
