Which of the following should NOT break up into, or form, ions when dissolved in water? Acids, such as HCl Bases, such as NaOH Ionic compounds such as NaCl Molecular compounds such as H2O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

molecular compounds don't disaccoicate in water

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so molecular compounds such as H2O?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its funny cause H2O is water and will dissolve in water, but it will not break into ions. a better example will be glucose C6H12O6 that will dissolve in water but will not break into ions.
