simplify \[9x ^{2/3}\div 3x ^{1/6}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm going to say the answer would be x/2 then i'm going to suggest that you go to khanacademy.org and watch the free videos on exponents in the algebra section

If you need more help

from looking at this i'm wondering if i'm reading it correctly you say it's x and not times x to the second power would be written x^2 so if this is 9x^2/3 then the 3 would divide the 9 to become 3x^2 that would be your answer to the first one with this second one it doesn't make sense because they wouldn't say 3x^1, they would just say 3x because that means the same thing

I put into wolfram and got \[3\sqrt{x}\]

Well that's all I can provide :( I'm truly sorry :(
