H by itself has a 2 .... its a diatatomic element. Whenever its alone it is found in a pair of 2. so you do NOT end up with 4H

That is the balanced equation but i don't remember what to do next, it's been a while since I've worked on chemistry.

Hum you have 36.7 grams of whater, than just do grams-->mole of h2 ---> moles of o2 ---> grams of o2

in this example, you don't even need to know stoichiometry, you really just need to know conservation of mass. If 36.7g of hydrogen are used, and they produce 328g of water, the only other component must be 291.3g of oxygen.

Well tis good to practice your stoich. Im just saying its very helpful for the future when you hit higher level of chem, just conservation of mass doesn't work with every problem.
