This is solved with the rule fro 30-60-90 Triangle

soo how might i go about solving this question?

|dw:1347463070567:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 2x = 132 or 2x is the hypothensus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = 66 because you divide both sides by 2 and that is also the shorter leg x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 66 is the height of the house?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now I know x I can get the longer leg (or height of the building) by \[66 \times \sqrt{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

66 is the distance from the bottom of the ladder to the house
