Could someone help me check this? I don't think I did it right.... So, I'm supposed to be solving for value h. Using Longer Leg= Shorter leg times square root 3, I got 20 square root 3/3. I'm pretty sure that's not right. Diagram's in the comments if you can help!
Or use pythagorean theorem
But that will give answer in decimal...... So i would prefer trigonometric ratios
if you are learning about 30-60-90 "special" triangles, then trig is over kill. you said Using Longer Leg= Shorter leg times square root 3, I got 20 square root 3/3 shorter side is 10 times sqrt(3) means 10*sqrt(3)
So, I used the wrong leg?
It looks like it. The triangle has a hypotenuse (across from the 90 angle), a short leg and a long leg. The legs are the sides that are not the hypotenuse
Ah, I get it now
so you need to understand Longer Leg= Shorter leg times square root 3 means longer leg = 10 times sqrt(3) or simply longer leg = 10*sqrt(3)
Got it! Thank you!
