Okay ummm..... How do I solve this? Please explain & show your work!! :) Thanks - The length of a rectangle is 9.7 cm more than 4 times the width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 91.4 cm. Write and solve a system of linear equations to represent the situation. Explain the method you chose to solve it. What are the dimensions of the rectangle? Be sure to check your solution.

If you name the length of the rectangle as l, and the width as w you can create an equation like this. The perimeter: 2l + 2w = 91.4 We know that the the length is 9.7cm more than the width quadrupled so we have, l = 9.7 - 4w This will allow you to solve for w on the first equation and then you can solve the entire system.
